I lived in Hawaii for a couple of years. Waipahu was mine and my dad’s favorite spot. This place had so many options just like at Waipahu restaurant buffets. Everybody was really nice. It was karaoke going on at 10:30 at night and it was packed. What a great vibe and atmosphere.

Tried Dollar Hits and it was a solid experience overall. It’s a Filipino spot where you pick what you want and grill it yourself, which was really fun. The skewers were fresh and flavorful, especially right off the grill with that nice smoky taste. It honestly reminded me of being back in the Philippines. The vibe is chill and casual which adds to the whole experience. Only downside was parking, it was a bit tough to find a spot. Other than that the food definitely delivers and I’d still come back for a quick and satisfying bite.

The best Filipino skewers and experience I’ve ever had! I was blown away with the food as everything was super tasty. Firstly I really enjoyed each skewer as they all had great flavor and the meats were tender. In addition, the fresh mango juice was super refreshing and fresh as it was real mango. Also the staff were helpful and kind. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot.

On a cold Wednesday afternoon, my partner and I had some time to kill before meeting some friends in ktown. We decided to check out dollar hits for some Filipino skewers and it was an awesome experience. When you enter you see a huge selection of various skewers that you choose and then you pay for them before heading outside to the little grills. Then it is up to you to grill everything to your liking. The food wasn’t amazing, but the vibes were. The food was definitely good, but it was very easy to burn your skewers so it can be very fun standing around flipping your skewers. Everyone there is also so friendly and there is a strong sense of community as everyone is cooking together. I loved this experience and if I could I would frequent this place often.

This was my first time trying Filipino food and I very much enjoyed it! Thankfully I went with someone who knew what to order, otherwise I would have been a bit lost. They didn't have the skewers however, which was a disappointment since we went there specifically for them. We tried many of the other buffet items and they were delicious! The best aspect is how much food you get. A true bang for your buck! There is only outdoor seating on plastic tables and chairs, but they do provide a hand washing station, which is helpful given that most of the food should be eaten directly with your hands.
